Starting anything can be a bit of a minefield. Where to begin? I suppose to explain who and why I have started this blog is a good starting point. So welcome.
I have been in sales and business for all my working life and the one thing I have taken with me everywhere is that we all just want to be acknowledged for our custom our efforts and our existence, so when it goes awry it can be the most frustrating and demoralising event that can descend into chaos. Believe me I have not missed many people and hit the wall if I have been treated poorly but on the other side I have been on the receiving end of many very unfair and unjust customer rants that I was powerless to defend. These events have accumulated in me taking a good look at how I could have handled it differently and hopefully learned from.
I am also very aware that good even great customer service does exist and that it is something I want to bring to readers so the perception that it’s all a bit crap and there’s nothing else can be dispelled somewhat.
I am trying with my blog to bring some perspective and humour to my readers about events and situations that we have all been in. This can be both great service and atrocious service we all need and want to hear about. We are drawn to it if it’s good and avoid it if it’s bad.
I am a smiley generally happy person so when someone gives me a bad attitude I won’t let them away with it, if I feel it is justified. And in the same way if I get great attitude and service I will tell the person. Shockingly when that happens many are surprised that they are being given positive feedback and never know quite how to handle it.
